The 5th plenary meeting of the IoT-NGIN project was held online on 14th and 15th February 2022.

In this two-day meeting, the Consortium provided updates over the running task, highlighting the progress towards each task activities, components’ development, as well as the foreseen interactions with other project activities and the Living Labs, evaluated potential risks and progress towards the achievement of major milestones and plan the next steps.

During the second day, the Consortium co-hosted an Open Source session, opened by the Technical Coordinator of IoT-NGIN, who introduced the project and the interest to open source.  Useful insights on the open source licenses spectrum and foundations were also provided by Dr Philippe Krief, Research Relations Director of the Eclipse Foundation. Open Source implications of the ETSI Open Source MANO (OSM) for IoT-NGIN have been sought by i2CAT, while the session was closed with an overview of open source licenses relevant for IoT-NGIN by RWTH.
