Sorbonne University is a multidisciplinary, research-intensive and world-class academic institution. It was created on January 1st, 2018 as the merge of two first-class research-intensive universities, UPMC (University Pierre and Marie Curie) and Paris-Sorbonne. Sorbonne University\u2019s is now organized with three faculties: humanities, medicine and science, each with the wide-ranging autonomy necessary to conduct its ambitious programs in both research and education. SU counts 53,500 students, 3,400 professor-researchers and 3,600 administrative and technical staff members.<\/span><\/p>\n Its computer science laboratory, LIP6, is internationally recognized as a leading research institute. LIP6 is a joint research unit of both SU and CNRS (CNRS is a third party linked to Sorbonne University). The LIP6 Networks and Performance Analysis (NPA) group focuses on the Internet of the future, with the vision of an autonomous, reliable, high- performance, and secure pervasive digital infrastructure. LIP6 is involved in many activities related to Advanced wireless, smart mobility, optimization, virtual networks and slicing, Internet governance and regulation, monitoring and large-scale EU-funded testbed projects such as PlanetLab Europe, Onelab, OpenLab, F-Interop, Armour. The NPA group develops a modern approach of research in networking, through basic research and transfer activities, in strong cooperation with worldwide academic partners and industrial leaders. Transfer is measurable though our contributions to standardization bodies (e.g. IETF: MLDv2 or RTP XR), the creation of start-ups as well as numerous industrial contracts. The group activity is supported by permanent researchers, Post-Doc, international visitors, engineers and about 40 PhD students. Therefore, the NPA group has established a critical mass of about 60 faculties\/engineers\/PhDs.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Role in project” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:28|text_align:left|color:%23009dfa” google_fonts=”font_family:Montserrat%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n The main objective of Sorbonne University is to contribute to the design of the underlying infrastructure, as well as to provide the OneLab facility as an IoT-NGIN Integration Infrastructure to validate the IoT-NGIN physical requirements (IoT\/5G and M2M\/MCM communications). The OneLab facility will be customized in order to bridge the gap with the Living Labs cases in order to qualify the solution before going wild. <\/span><\/p>\n Through OneLab, the Sorbonne University will provide support and access to the IoT-NGIN partners in order to support the design and testing phase. The Sorbonne University will (i) participate to the analysis of the demand, (ii) do the customization and implementation, and (iii) contribute to the testing phase. Specifically, the Sorbonne University will be responsible for the enhancement of IoT M2M communications. Moreover, the Sorbonne University will contribute to the requirements analysis and to the IoT meta-architecture design. Thew Sorbonne University will also participate in cybersecurity enhancement tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n The Sorbonne University will also lead laboratory testing and evaluation. The Sorbonne University will contribute to the cross-living labs validation and 3<\/span>rd<\/span><\/sup> party support.
