Our partner Privanova is honoured to announce that it was among rare organizations presenting at the First intersessional consultation of the Ad Hoc Committee established by the UN General Assembly to elaborate a comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes.
Organised by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna on 24 and 25 March 2022, this international event involved 193 UN Member States and observing organisations including the European Commission.
Represented by Mr Farhan Sahito, Privanova took part in a panel discussion on Procedural Measures and Law Enforcement alongside International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), Microsoft Corporation and Asociația eLiberare.
As part of his presentation, Mr Sahito highlighted Privanova’s role as a partner in numerous EU-funded innovation projects aiming to reinforce cybersecurity measures and fight cybercriminality. While particular attention was given to our law-enforcement projects such as CYBERSPACE, CC-DRIVER and TRACE, all other projects where cybersecurity is one of the core issues were also mentioned (AI4HEALTHSEC, IOT-NGIN, CYRENE, MARVEL, DIGICARE4YOU and FACILITATE).
The European Union’s UN delegation thanked Privanova for highlighting EU initiatives that aim to reinforce cybersecurity capabilities among the UN member states.
Privanova’s presentation was published on the United Nations’ dedicated webpage.
