IoT-NGIN participated in the NGIoT Thematic Workshop “Smart Cities & Communities” on Tuesday, 30th March 2021. The event attracted stakeholders from the Smart City domain, Industry and the European Commission, among others.
The targets for the Digital Decade for Smart Cities and Communities have been presented, as well as the European Interoperability Framework has been explained. The challenges, recommendations and current status of technology and smart cities’ development has been presented. The IoT-NGIN vision towards smart cities and communities have been stated by Dr Terpsi Velivassaki, Synelixis, as the layered approach which ensures interoperability, security, privacy, traceability and data sovereignty by design.
