Ilkka Lakaniemi from Aalto University School of Business participated in the “Baltics’ Opportunity to Become Data Economy Leaders in EU” event, organized by the Estonian, Lithuanian and Latvian governments (Ministries for Economic Affairs and Communication and Economy and Innovation, Infobalt and Microsoft) on March 24th 2021 to advance data economy development among policy and industry decision-makers. Ilkka Lakaniemi gave a keynote speech on “Nordic and Baltic Co-operation for Data Economy and GAIA-X” with references to industry goals and objectives for joint data spaces and best practices on data sharing (business, legal and technology).

From IoT-NGIN perspective, the participation in this event facilitates IoT standards creation and data spaces, as well as the definition of relevant use cases.
