On March 17, 2021, Ilkka Lakaniemi from Aalto University School of Business gave a keynote speech about “Developing Information Society from the 1980s to Present Day” at the Finnish Development Centre for Information Society (TIEKE) 40 Years Anniversary Seminar.
TIEKE is a third-sector actor in Finland working as a neutral association advancing information society development in industry collaboration, digital upskilling and industry-government co-operation. The event attracted participants from Finnish ministries (LVM, TEM), cities of Helsinki, Turku ja Tampere, as well as several companies.
TIEKE is dedicated to helping our society make the most of digitalisation and new technologies.
TIEKE is an independent, non-profit organisation with the expansion of digital know-how at its heart. Whether your organisation is working on a digitalisation project or looking to remove bottlenecks that slow down your industry’s digitalisation, or you just want to brush up on your digital skills, we’re here to help. With 40 years of experience under our belts, we have the influence, contacts and expertise to ensure a thriving information society that benefits everyone.
In the framework of IoT-NGIN, third-sector engagement has been conducted via a neutral host for public-private sector co-operation in standards and best practice creation. Moreover, the relevant use cases and Living Labs have been discussed.
